by TBAdmin 3. August 2010 21:53
We will be open this Saturday (7th August) as usual as we have decided not to exhibit at the SOFER Rally at Bisley. I know, this is starting to become a habit! Not the truck this time though, just time constraints. Anyway, please feel free to come along for a free tea/coffee and advice on your touring requirements. Have you seen our great offer currently on SDOC Gel Cleaner. Free Refill bottle worth £13.45 with every bottle purchased. Great value whilst stocks last!

Fitting Service

by TBAdmin 6. July 2010 00:21
Just a reminder that we do offer a fitting service for any racks purchased through us. We can also fit Starcom and the Bags Connection Tank Rings. Fitting can be arranged by appointment, usually on a Saturday or an evening through the summer. Please contact us for availability and cost. We have now fixed the truck so are back in operation, thanks to the guys at Cargo Spares, who were very helpful and helped us locate the part we needed.

BEAULIEU MOTORCYCLE MUSTER

by TBAdmin 23. June 2010 00:55
The shop will be open this Saturday, 26th! Apologies to all our customers who will be expecting to see us at our local show this weekend. We have once again had problems with our truck, which is the downside of running a 21 year old horse box! It broke down in a very inconvenient place, on the M271 roundabout, a few weeks ago. We had to be recovered and the part we need to repair it is proving very elusive. There is a possibility we can order it from Turkey, other than that it will be a matter of visiting the breakers yards. If anyone knows where we would be able to source parts for an Iveco Ford Cargo 811 with a Dorset engine, please drop us an email. It would be much appreciated. We are sorry to miss Beaulieu. Especially as the weather forecast is so good for the weekend and anyone who has been a regular visitor at the show in the past, will know that the last couple of years before they cancelled the show, the weather was appalling. Anyway, we will be open as usual on Saturday, 10.30 to 4.30 with free tea and coffee for anyone arriving on 2 wheels.

May - Shows, Shows, Shows!

by TBAdmin 7. May 2010 20:28
Well, we're into May, although looking at the weather you wouldn't know it! The Touring Biker Co exhibits at 3 shows this month so it's very busy time for us and we do have some shop closures, please check our Contacts Page for information on opening hours. We were at the BMAD at Paignton last weekend but the weather was not kind and we had lots of rain. Still plenty of people but a lot came in their cars which is a shame. This weekend it's The Thundersprint in Northwich, Cheshire. A long way for us but it is usually a very good show and great fun. Come and see us if you are there, we are at Stand B4. Next weekend is of course the BMF at Peterborough. It is under new management this year so we are looking forward to seeing some changes for the better. We are at Stand B12-11, next to the Best in Show Marquee. At both shows we will be doing an offer on S DOC 100 Motorcycle Cleaner. Buy one and get one half price. This is an excellent bike cleaner so take advantage of this offer whilst stocks last. BMF members will receive a voucher to buy one get one free, even better! Apologies to anyone who wanted to visit the shop over the next couple of weekends, but we will be open as usual for business on Saturday 22nd May

Luggage for Triumph Bonneville

by TBAdmin 14. April 2010 02:34
It's very strange how it goes, but we often get a query for a bike and then over the next few days, we get lots more queries for the same make and model of bike. We always get plenty of interest in luggage for Triumphs, and although they are not typically well looked after in the luggage department, we do have a number of options. We had a customer in the shop a couple of weeks ago with a Bonneville, who had just ordered a set of luggage from Norman Hyde. He was not aware that Hepco & Becker do racks and luggage for the Bonneville and was very interested in this option. Hepco & Becker make racks for more bikes than any other company we are aware of. They do a very good Chrome rack for the Bonneville/T100 and the America. This is for both a top case and panniers. The style of the Hepco & Becker luggage is particularly suited to the Bonneville. Take a look in the shop or put your bike details into our My Bike tool to see which racks are suitable.

Spring approaching, good weather gets those bikers on the road

by TBAdmin 24. March 2010 15:45
After the long, cold, winter, it does appear that Spring is arriving and with it, the bikers are getting out on the road again. It's good to hear the adverts on the radio alerting drivers to look out for riders. We are continually suprised at the Touring Biker Co when on a miserable wet Saturday, such as the one just gone, we get bikers turning up at the shop for their free coffee and a chat. Sometimes they even buy stuff! Through the winter months, we usually get visitors in cars, apart from the hardened few who ride their bikes whatever the weather, so it's great to see (and hear!) those bikes turning up outside. We have some great new stock for the season. We recently took delivery of stock of Helen 2 Wheels, which is a completely waterproof, versatile solution. The bags come in 3 styles and various sizes, with a great strap system which enables you to stack the bags if required. They will fit on virtually any bike and with the uncertain British weather, are a sure way of keeping your stuff dry when touring. Look in our soft luggage category to see the full range. We have used it ourselves on our Dyna Wide Glide and can recommend it.

The Ace Cafe Custom and Motorcycle Show

by TBAdmin 3. March 2010 01:57
Well, our first show of the year was not a great success! The Ace Cafe Custom and Motorcycle Show at the Ally Pally was very definately geared to custom bikes and so the punters were not really interested in touring equipment. A big disappointment for the Touring Biker Co as we did really well at this show in 2009 and had high hopes. The weather didn't help, the rain on Sunday was torrential and would put off most bikers. On the positive side, we had a lot of interest in our communications systems and it gave us chance to demonstrate the new Interphone F4 and Midland BT range. It must have been the first show we have exhibited at where we didn't sell one item of hard luggage though! We hope for better things at the BMAD Bike Bike Festival in Paignton at the end of April!

Ace Cafe Motorcycle Show - this weekend

by TBAdmin 23. February 2010 19:43
We have been busy preparing for the Ace Cafe Show this weekend at the Ally Pally in London. The truck is now sorted out, the bikes are loaded and the stock will go on tomorrow ready for the journey to London. The Ace Cafe are promising a good show this year with plenty of entertainment so we are looking forward to it. We have lots of new stock, so come along and pay us a visit. We are in the Great Hall, Stand G4/G5. We have Givi goody bags to give out free with every Givi purchase or order taken at the show.
