Security - Pacsafe Luggage Protector
What is it all about
In this category you will find items to help secure your bike and your gear
when you are travelling including the Pacsafe Luggage Protector.
Who makes them
For gear security we recommend our large range of
Pacsafe products.
Pacsafe primarily make security devices for the traveller and it was one of
their products, the Pacsafe 85, which sparked our interest and led to the
Touring Biker Co being formed. Pacsafe have since introduced bike
specific products to their range but we find that a lot of their original
including the Pacsafe Luggage Protector products work well for the touring biker.
We have a small range of Krall locks, lock and chain and disc.
What are the options
One of the main problems when having a ride out is what to do with your
jackets and helmets. Of course there are helmet parks available at a
lot of events but what if you are just parking your bike and want to go for
a walk? You certainly don't want to carry them with you but are
understandably very wary of leaving them unsecured with your bike.
Pacsafe do a number of devices that can solve this problem for you. If it is just your helmet that you want to secure, please look at the Lidsafe, which is a waterproof helmet bag that is lined with stainless steel and locks to your bike with a stainless steel cable. To carry 2 jackets and 2 helmets, you cannot beat the very versatile Pacsafe 85, which is a large stainless steel net which will again lock to your bike. It does not have a waterproof cover but a bin bag can be used. Both of these items fold up small enough to store under your seat or in a back pack when not using.
Pacsafe also make a tank bag and a tail bag which are again lined with stainless steel and can be locked to your bike. They both are waterproof.
In the same range you will find a number of bags designed for the traveller which we feel suit the biker very well. These include secure waist packs, back packs, wallets and many more.
If you are at all unsure of the parts to order, please email info@touringbiker.com or telephone on 01794 367216. Our staff are fully conversant with the options and will be pleased to assist you.
